Our approach to trust
Editorial standards and medical evidence
Sensitive health questions deserve clear answers, careful sourcing and an honest explanation of what is known and what is uncertain.
Feel Ready is preparing for launch. Our educational articles are not a clinical evaluation or an offer of treatment.
Standard 1
Research the question
We start with questions people genuinely ask about sexual health and wellbeing. We prioritize medical guidelines, systematic reviews, high-quality studies and relevant regulatory sources, not trending claims.
Standard 2
Check what the evidence supports
A PubMed listing does not prove a treatment is effective or safe. We consider study design, population, limitations, uncertainty and whether findings apply to the question. We separate established evidence from emerging or investigational approaches.
Standard 3
Write with care
Articles should answer the question plainly, describe important risks and uncertainties, and help readers prepare for an informed discussion with a qualified clinician. We do not promise a diagnosis, prescription or health outcome.
Standard 4
Verify clinical claims
Articles that show a medical reviewer are credited only after actual review by a qualified professional. Content without a verified reviewer is not labeled medically reviewed. We do not invent credentials or clinical endorsements.
Standard 5
Maintain and correct
We revisit content as new guidelines and safety information become available. If a factual error is identified, we investigate and correct it. Material clinical changes require additional qualified review.
Our source approach
We use PubMed to locate peer-reviewed medical literature, then check the original context and quality of the evidence. We also use relevant professional guidelines, drug labels and public health resources. A source link is provided for further reading where appropriate.
References can support a statement, but a citation alone does not establish that every part of an article has undergone clinical review.
